Join the TFWA Board (2026-2027 Term)

The Texas Food and Wine Alliance (TFWA) board is an all-volunteer group of individuals that embody the heart and soul of the Texas food community. Representing the diversity of the statewide culinary scene, TFWA board members help move the organization forward to continuously innovate and expand our culinary grant and education programs and one-of-a-kind events.

Our Board of Directors are expected to contribute the equivalent of 80 hours to TFWA service annually (or $2,500 in cash fundraising for the organization). In addition, the Board of Directors meet 10 times each year (monthly except for July and December) and directors are asked to attend at least 8 of these sessions. Most board meetings occur virtually with select in-person sessions happening in Austin.

We aspire to have a diverse board, comprised of a wide-range of skills and expertise. Ideal Board of Director candidates may have a background or professional networks in:

  • Culinary or Hospitality Leadership

  • Marketing, Communicators & PR

  • Legal

  • Human Resources

  • Real Estate

  • Technology

  • Non-Profit Leadership/Fundraising

  • Liquor/Beer/Wine

  • Food-related Public Policy/ Advocacy
