Eden East Farm

$5,000 Tito's Handmade Vodka Entrepreneur Grant and $2,500 Jeff Conarko Grant for Sustainability: $7,500

Owned by David Barrow and Sonya Cote, Eden East Farm is a sustainable urban farm in historical Bastrop offering seasonal vegetables, preserved items, eggs, medicinal and culinary herbs, meats, and other goods from a farm stand. The products supply area restaurants, including sibling business Store House Market & eatery, the first farm-to-table restaurant in Bastrop County. The farm’s sustainable focus is to implement proper produce storage techniques, addressing climate change and food waste while emphasizing seed-saving and preservation.

Grant funds will be used for equipment and other needed supplies to preserve their seed-saving initiative and educational purposes.
